About TAB Home Improvement
Home Renovations and General Contractors in Frederick, MD
TAB Properties, LLLP began operations in early 2000 primarily as a real estate investment company. During our first decade of existence, we primarily focused our efforts in the area of residential property acquisition. Properties were acquired through a variety of methods including foreclosure/trustee sale auctions, estate auctions and via ordinary real estate purchases with the assistance of real estate agencies. While most of the properties were renovated to a limited degree and subsequently became rental properties that were managed in-house, several received more extensive renovation and/or additions to improve their values and were resold as quickly as possible. All of the renovation work was designed and completed personally by, or supervised by Scott Bushey, General Partner of TAB Properties.
As the real estate market changed substantially from 2007 to 2009, we made a decision to modify our business plan to begin performing professional home improvement services for the community at large. TAB Properties, LLLP and General Partner, Scott Bushey acquired Maryland Home Improvement Commission License #101,819 and all insurance coverage required by the State of Maryland to legally perform all types of home improvements within the state of Maryland.
When you call or contact TAB Properties, LLLP you will be talking with or communicating directly with Scott Bushey, whom as the General Partner of the company will be the primary planner, estimator, designer and supervisor of your project. Once your project enters the construction phase, the first place that you should look for Scott is on your job site, as he will be there as often as possible.
Who is Scott Bushey?
Scott grew up on home construction sites. His father owned and operated a home building business until he died from cancer in 1980, when Scott was sixteen. Scott worked his high school summers at a family owned, building material supply company. After high school, Scott helped his uncles build several custom homes and during college he worked as a punch-out carpenter for a fast-growing northern Virginia home builder. Scott received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1987 from University of Maryland. While working as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Scott continued to hone his all-around construction and design skills by buying, renovating and reselling several residential properties around the Frederick, MD area.
Today, as the general partner of TAB Properties, LLLP, Scott uses his lifetime of experience in and around the residential construction industry, as well as an attention to detail cultivated by a career as an engineer that provides our customers with a unique combination of skills that are rarely found in a home improvement and general contractor company.
